Rotary Mashine Setup

Hey, I bought a rotary mashine from DragonHawk

I'm quiet new to tattooing so my question is... how do I know which length of 'Needle Drive Bar' I should use beause I tried to adjust the length of my 'Needle Drive Bar' and the stroke length so my cartidge needles dont peek out too much out of the cartidge... just later I learned that the stroke length is used to adjust the mashine for lining or shading/coloring... And now I dont know what 'Needle Drive Bar' to use and stroke length to use for lining.

besides that I dont know if I should set my mashine to hard or soft hitting for lining by changing the O-Rings?

Usually the longest stroke is used for Lining....The stroke length shouldn't make a difference to how far the needle protrudes from the end of the tube tip, that is adjusted elsewhere......I don't know anything about these machines, but at that price, don't expect it to last all that long, but having said that, you may be lucky and have it last years.
