Low voltage on a 4mm machine will start hit harder than most people would choose for black and grey. I’ve done B&G with a Bishop wand packer (4.2mm stroke) but it’s not as easy (or smooth) as using a shorter stroke machine, possible but perhaps not preferable. With a longer stroke keep your hand relaxed and go steady.

In fact you can do most things with most machines, just some are more suited to certain tasks and this is how the tattoo industry makes so much money, with some brands literally charging you £800 for the privilege of using a different size cam on the otherwise exact same machine. Did you consider a variable stroke machine?

i did not consider the variable stroke machine i did alot of watching reviews and went with the ambition soldier...it was said to be a good all around machine....your right tho...not proud of it but i did alot of time and it taught me you can do great work with any thing..literaly...some of my tatts are better than alot of shop tats and we didnt know about stroke length..lol...iv been working with it on fake skins and its coming out great tho..i know there is a huge difference between that and real skin but think i can make it work....thank you...i will run it at a lower voltage tho..
