Does anyone have any experience doing blackout tattoos? I got a few questions.

1. What voltage do u usually use?
2. How fast should my hand move at those volts?
3. How far do u hang ur needle?
4. Do u use back and forth motion or small circles?

I'm using a dragonhawk mast rotery machine with a 45 mag at 10v using back and forth motion and I cannot for the life of me get good saturation I don't wat to tear my skin up to bad so I went over it once but the saturation is trash!

I had this issue and in the end I switched ink and tried a round shader rather than a mag and I generally do circles

Have you seen the new Acus machine? It’s the first (to my knowledge) to display the machine speed in Hz (CPS), and I imagine other machine builders will follow.

The volts of a machine only really matter if you're comparing machine for machine, or motor for motor, otherwise it can be pretty misleading.
