Hello myself has tattooed myself before but this time myself bought some needle runners hearing they worked great. Myself kept getting needle drag and the runner hit the side of the tube and just did not work great. Kept getting needle drag. Switched back to elastic bands and no needle drag at all. Could the runners cause this? Right after switching them and using elastics. Everything went great and did 7 tattoos on myself. Will not be using them again.

Tbh your question/problem is not that clear. What did you mean by ‘needle drag’? In the skin, in the tube? What effect does it have on your tattooing etc? Maybe post a video.

My experience here is that people come to someone’s aid pretty quickly, but we can’t expect them to do al the legwork, like best guess an ambiguous question.

Try reposting the question in a more explicit way and see what happens.

Peace out ✌️

Thanks for the reply guys. Will figure it out on my own like always.
More then likely u need a new needle..sometimes there not made correctly..if u notice it's pulling the skin..stop change your needle and it should fix the problem.

I don't know if your grasp of english is very good because it's a little difficult to know exactly what you're asking....I'm thinking that you have a needle bar tensioner on your machine, or have fitted one instead of using elastic bands to hold your needle bar in place....and now the needle bar is rubbing against the tube....just back off the tension a bit or put a slight bend in the needle bar.
