myself just got into tattooing and wanted to know your guys opinion on the blackest ink, blackest bold lining ink also crisp lining ink. Also the blackest shading ink?
Right now myself has
intenze zuper black
world famous blackout
eternal maxx black
dynamic triple black
dynamic black
allegory blak
and starbrite black gold.

After much research myself has come up with eternal maxx black, allegory blak or starbrite black gold for bold line work. Any help would be greatly apprecited. Myself used dynaimc black but it does not come out bold

Not all black ink is made to be used for lining, that's why they have Lining ink.....I'm not sure how it works, but if I remember correctly, dedicated Lining ink doesn't spread under the skin as much as other inks and produces a crisper line, I think it has something to do with the molecules in the ink, but not sure on that.....I was told a few years ago that when doing Tribal work it is best to line with a grey shade so when you colour the design in with solid black you can't see an obvious line that is darker than the fill.

Yes myself inks are different and some are for shading and lining as the zuper black and dynamic triple black, myself will be using for shading and lining. sorry should have been more specific. myself wanted to know which would be best for bold lines. was thinking of using an 11rs for bold lines

I currently use dynamic regular and dynamic triple black….I ‘sometimes’ line in triple black but mostly the regular for lining.

And why?…

After trying quite a few different lining inks, I found that Dynamic remained the blackest (by far) of all the ones I tried, once healed. I would say that this factor is more important than which one looks the blackest when fresh.

In terms of bold lines, any black lining ink will heal the same with a fine liner or a fat power liner, as long as you achieve correct saturation with the needle group you’re using. When this could make a difference is if you are creating super thick lines that are effectively ‘packed’ (coloured in). Then I’d definitely suggest a high pigment/concentrated black for the packing.

After doing 7 tattoos on myself. The zuper black turned out super black for shading. The black gold from papillon starbrite was amazing for lines as well as eternal maxx black. Did my lining with a 1211rs and came out nice and bold. With the 1211rl not so bold

Had yo color pack one of them and have already used eternal maxx black, intenze zuper black and starbrite papillon black gold. People mix inks so none caused a problem on my body or an allergic reaction so combined the 3 together. Myself has the blackest tattoo ever. If we have used inks on our body before and no bad reaction why can't we? The msds basically has the same ingredients and nothing out of those three inks have affected my body. Super black tattoo. It's a triple black(cause myself used 3 combined) but 3 times darker than a triple black.
