Hi!
ive got fake skin (Amazon cheap stuff) and I cannot get my tattoo transfers to stick at all. I’ve tried deodorant stick, the proper sticky stuff, leaving the transfer on for like an hour, putting something weighted on it. It’s driving me insane!
I’ve tried the transfer on my actual skin with no problem, so any help on where I’m going wrong would be appreciated!

Throw it away and get some reelskin or pound of flesh, even pig skin, you’ll learn little of any value with the cheap stuff.

I did think it was probably the cheap stuff! I’ll order some decent stuff now. Thank you!

Reelskin do a bag of bits, lots of small randomly sized pieces. Our apprentice buys them and I’d say they’re good value. Reelskin often have discounts flying around too. Good luck 👍

I apply the stencil primer sparingly, apply the stencil, carefully roll a roll of paper towel over it to soak up any excess stencil primer ( or place paper towel over the stencil and apply weight to it by pressing a book on top of it).....leave it for a minimum of 3 hours, or preferably overnight.

Wash the fake skin first with dish liquid, then dry ,be sure to also wipe it down with alcohol too before you try and stencil it

Use medical grade 97+ liquid alcohol, not the gel type used for disinfecting hands. As Dazza says correctly: the advice is to remove any type of grease or lubricant the fake skin may contain.

You can also try spread a thin layer of talc powder after you applied the stencil solution. Works a treat , but I'm not sure what's your issue here.
