Hi guys, I am wondering I can use this disinfectant when cleaning my machine and workstation.

It is called Clinell, a hospital-grade disinfectant commonly used in hospitals within AUS/UK.
The active ingredients are:
0.45% Benzalkonium Chloride, 0.4% Didecyldimethyl ammonium chloride, 0.1% PHMB
This is the efficacy data pulled from their website:

I apologize for clouding this post with the data but I'm just curious if anyone has used similar OR has the knowledge to verify if this can be applicable, especially to machines.
Keen to hear your responses. Cheers guys

can you? yes
should you? probably (will possibly corrode machine parts? are there better options?)
is it advisable or legal in a legit studio? See Russ above.

the wipes are sold at at least 4 online tattoo supply shops that i saw real quick.

I use Cavicide (similar product) in a spray bottle. 60+ second dwell/wet time, follow with 70% IPA. air dry.

& remember you are Sanitizing with those... NOT Sterilizing.

I'm comparing this disinfectant to what you guys have in the states (CaviCide, OptiCide, Madacide, etc) and they all seem to be intermediate-level disinfectants that kill more of a range of infections like HIV, Hep A, B & C, hence why I'm reluctant to give this one a go, and there does not seem to be an obvious equivalent here

no worries.

w/out a direct equivalent you gotta use what's avail. hence patch's post/ref. what do shops use in your area? what do hospitals/clinics use? does the health dept have an opinion?

I personally use what i use because it has a 1min dwell time. and i can buy it by the gallon 3 blocks from my home.

I am careful w/any disinfectant on my machines (coils or rotaries)... but a previous mentor saturated her machines (coils) w/madacide & didn't wipe with alcohol. she only used coils.

I've seen one of the shops in my area use this on their benches and work stations, but i noticed that they wipe/clean their machines (Coils) with Methylated Spirits

Good news to any Australian tattoo artists that are looking for a competent disinfectant, have been considering Clinell or have been hesitant due to the lack of efficacy data given like I was.

I accidentally stumbled upon the UK (Where Clinell was originally made) version of the website here and it lists way more data than the AUS version I linked in my original post.

I emailed the company to confirm if they're the same product and got a response: they are, the websites just published different data, due to the studies/tests done by the regulations of each country.

So yes, this is a very good disinfectant to use on your machines / workstations.
