Hello! I know this forum is not for me, but i was desperately looking for a place to ask my question and this is the only forum i found. Sorry to intrude your space, but I'd appreciate some help with my question.

I just got my first tattoo on Wednesday evening, and I plan to go clubbing on Saturday, so over 72h after the session. My tattoo artist told me that after the second day I didn't have to cover it anymore, but I'm worried about going to a club with it uncovered and exposed. Is it safe and I am just being paranoid ? Should i cover it up for the night? Or just skip the partying until its not as recent?

Again, sorry for posting this in the wrong place, but I am a really anxious person and I need an answer to this or I won't sleep tonight. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps !!

it all depends on where it is on your body as to how careful you have to be..if its anywhere that will be covered you will be fine..just keep up with the aftercare cream you have been told to use.. if its on your ankle and it would be exposed you need to rethink your attire ...you dont want to catch it with dirty shoes or anything like that..the last thing you want is a infection

hope that helps

The tattoo is on the back of my arm, right above the elbow, so if i wear something long-sleeved I am good to go, right?

yeah you will be fine...just make sure what you wear isnt tight and your good to go...just cream it before you go out and when you get home..i would not cream it while i was out because club toilets arent the cleanest of places to wash your hands

I agree, also don’t get all sweaty and if you’re anything like me don’t get hammered and forget about it. You want it to heal nicely and when I’m drunk I can be a bit reckless.

The place I usually go to has a big terrace that is always fairly empty, so I'll go there if I feel like im starting to sweat too much. And don't worry, even if I drink a few more than I should I'm always the mom friend so I'll be careful with my tattoo and probably keep an eye on my friend's new one.

If you have the option I think you should probably just check this with your tattoo artist... so when you, for whatever reason, end up needing a touch-up you don't end up with a "people on a forum told me it was ok" situation.

Apart from that... as long as you don't do anything crazy I think you should be fine. But it's a bit hard to judge since it depends on how you heal and on the condition of the tattoo itself.

Yeah, I did ask him and he told me it'd probably be completely fine, I just wanted more opinions because I'm a really anxious person and I started getting so paranoid about it. Thanks anyway tho!
