Hi!
Well I just got my first tattoo ever and it was pretty painfull... But what worries me and makes me wonder is that why is this white area getting infected and not the rest? also what can/should I do to prevent this from getting worse? will/can it get worse?

Right now its been 7 days since I got the tattoo, (I got it at the 29:th january) and the rest of the tattoo feels good and looks good skin wise, but tattoo wise i know it doesnt look that good, but thats the least of my worry right now.
Oh I forgot to mention, I'm cleaning it with sterilized water and then using a cream called "bepanthen" 4 times a day when im not working and 3 times a day when im working.

What do you mean when you say ‘white area’.? Is that filled with white ink or is it untouched skin?
I don’t think I used bepanthen (which is awesme) that much and long to be honest, I used it twice a day after washing it with lukewarm tab water, not demi, for about 2 or 3 days in total. After that just washing it did the trick. Crusts were minimal, but that difffers from person to person.

Maybe you have a bad reaction to the white ink.

It does look infected,go and get it checked out by a doctor, your using the bepanthen to much, twice a day in enough.you can block your pores and this cause skin to heal slower and can cause lumps under the skin, should have listened to your tattooist on care for your new tattoo

Im with Russ on this, also, what do you work as? are you covering it for protection if its in oils, dust, or paints etc? the first week of a tattoo it has to be protected until it starts to heal, they can easily get infected. Bepanthen is perfect but too much can be as bad as none.
Doctors for a quick check and should be fine.

to me looks lie the aftermath of overworking, you have also suffocated it in cream, I bet the scab goes a soggy mess too.
