So lately we've had a lot of "Hey, look at my tattoo" going on. I love it, it's great that people are posting up. But this is a learning forum...we all came here to get better than we were. I started years ago and thanks to a lot of helpful people over in the premium section I'm headed off to work at a local shop when I'm done typing this up. That is the best place to start...pony up for premium. It's inexpensive but the knowledge you'll pick up over there is invaluable. If you're serious about tattooing...you'll drop the coin and get as much education as you can.
When you post your tattoo please do the following:
1. What machines did you use? Feel free to include voltage even though it varies.
2. What needles and where on the tattoo did you use them? (I shaded the skull with a 13cm)
3. Traditional needles or cartridges?
4. What ink are you using?
5. How long did it take you? This tells those of us helping you a lot about how you approached the tattoo
6. What were your challenges? Point out your flaws...look for them...study them...
7. Ask for help where you need it
Finally...accept the criticism. It comes from a place of being helpful and is never intended to hurt your feelings or call you out. But the reality is if I tell you "good job" when it wasn't...you're just gonna go make the same mistakes again.
Hope this helps some of you newer kids get the most out of this site like I did.
