Hi guys

sorry but I can’t seem to find a solution anywhere, hope it’s not a double post.
So I just started my ink adventure about two weeks ago and up until today I only did two fake skins. Now I managed to get my hands on some piggy and believe you me I am never going back to that fake @#$¥#
Anyways my piggy has this pattern on it and the ink keeps getting right into the grooves. I can’t really remove it and I don’t always see where the needle is going. I have seen some of these before and they never looked as bad as mine. Is there any trade secret I am missing? Can you seal them things with something? (Probably not because STRETCHING fella!) please help as it already is a miracle that I got any piggy whatsoever where I live.

thanks

Hello Remik and welcome to the forum 🙂 Those are traces from when the piggy body is being transported on the band when being handled in the meat industry. And you're not alone about having issues with getting ink stuck there 😫 It's been too long since I tattooed piggy, but as I recall the general tip was to use cream (like cold pressed coconut oil - best , as it doesn't clog the needles - vaseline, or such). Just a thin layer. And be cautious when wiping, wipe with them, not against them.

I know there's info on old threads about it, but I'm not sure if it may be hard to search for them.

Don't underestimate fake skin. Crap or good quality.

Yes the slits are a pain in the bum ,I’d say just try and dab the excess ink away as you go , I like pig skin but haven’t used it for a while 16A4AEA8-0DF2-4790-8A18-7870637385A4.png
