Hi everyone! I've been practicing on fake skin with Mom's tattoo ink and there's two in particular that I have that I have trouble with. It's "Blue balls" (darker, maybe about inkpen blue) and Cotton Candy (light blue). I've tried using these inks with several RL and RS needles, but can't seem to get more than a tiny bit of it to stay on the fake skin. I tested it on my girlfriend and myself as well, and the ink still barely appeared on both of us as well.

I know my angles are good and all my other inks (black, white, grey, a couple reds and pinks, purple, greens) all come out really vibrant and nice.. just not those two blues. All of them are the same brand.

Is it possible that it is just the ink and not something I'm doing potentially wrong?

It may be just the colour, I always have trouble with blue, I don't know why, I find it hard to saturate the ink without it being patchy, the really dark blues are not as bad as the light blues. But any light pastel type colour is difficult to apply....just need to trust yourself that it is actually going into the skin and not to overwork the area causing skin damage.

I actually got it off the Mom's Millennium Ink website through their link to Technical Tattoo Supply so maybe it's that batch or like what Big Pete said.
