Hello guys,

I know that its not recommended to use inks from different brands - but - are they talkin about colours (green, red, yellow etc...) or inks at all? Can I use for example "tribal xxx black" from Panthera and "dark red" from Eternal? And can I also use some Silverback ink for shadows? :) Normally Im using Panthera for lines and Silverback for shadows ...and everything is absolutely allright :) so what do you think if I add some dark red from eternal? :)

who recommends that? Ive used 4 or 5 in one. Only challenge you may face is if for some reason they don't mix well together...but I've only seen that with crap inks.

The only thing I'd ever be concerned with is mixing like colors between brands. If you're trying to match a green from one brand with a green from another, chances are it will be noticeable with anything other than standard colors.

fylfot on here once told me he mixed two different brands in the cup, and it started to bubble (and I'm pretty sure he uses only good brands) ? I'm thinking if it can happen in the cup, it can happen in the skin, so I never mix brands.

I figure that may be a reason why people sometimes have strange things going on in their healed tattoos.

I saw that article... but it could be for example some unnatural and highly syntetic colours... maybe. Im using non-toxic, natural and vegan brands... So if I'll use just black and just red... it should be fine :) black is suitable for everything and its just a minimum of ingredients

It wasn't an article, I only had a chat with him :) I'll ask him.

I think I remember seeing that discussion in the forum at one point and I believe it was an issue with Dynamic black, maybe Triple Black.

That would probably be something else then, David says this now ? :

"Eternal and some other brand but i can’t recall the name atm. It was a new brand at the time, i was given it free to try out from a uk tattoo supplier, but i can’t recal its name, i obviously threw it away after it bubbled up."

Oh I'm probably just remembering the brand wrong. I remember reading it when I first found the forum and was flying through as much as possible. So my memory of specifics shouldn't be trusted. :ROFLMAO:
