What do you guys think of kuro Sumi grey shades , I've used dynamic ink with the solution it's just not the type of color I want my tattoo to heal . I've used silverback although it's color flow and smoothness is on point. It heals very light .

I'm thinking of changing my ink to kuro Sumi . Honest suggestion please

Totally agree about healed dynamic. I don't like it either. I changed to Nocturnal and really like it. Used it for a couple of years now.

i am curious what issues u guys had with dynamic, my mentor uses the triple black pretty extensively.

also i personally just use intenze true black. i have a set of kuro sumi blacks i bought a while ago, but its just collecting dust cuz i still have an entire bottle of intenze left, and im scared to to change brands since i've been having absolutely no issues with the true black at all.

I like my dynamic black...

maybe instagram has us beliving that black should heal like the blackest hole in the universe?? And white should glow? And pink should hurt your eyes to look at? Anyone with tattoos knows this isn't the case...shit fades.

It's not a matter of blackest black - not for me at least. In fact I'm not a fan of "too" black.

Dynamic has a slightly greenish hue when healed, compared to Nocturnal. That's what I don't like about Dynamic.

Kuro sumi shading inks heal very nice with a silverish glow. However, I found it a bit difficult to work with unless I dont slow down my machine and after every refil I dip into water very lightly with the machine off. That is the easiest way for me. Also I found that making your own graywash from Kuro sumi is very different to other inks like dynamic. Once you go over 3:1 it is really only good for blood lining as it will eventually disappear but great for marking the stencil lines on big multi session tattooes. Anyways, there is plenty people here with shit lots of experience I am sure there is a way to do it right with right consistency by using glycerin, which hazel and so on but I prefer to buy premixed Kuro sumi shading inks.

Kuro sumi heals pretty dark black. I’ve never had any issues mixing my own grey wash with it. The only thing I don’t like is that it heals with a sort of shiney-ness to it.

I actually like exactly that about it... I mean it's a matter of preference i suppose. However, when mixing the graywash and going more than 3:1 water:ink it always healed super light for me. What do you mix it with ?

I usually just mix it with distilled water. I do a 50%, 25%, 12.5%, 6%, and 3% and then an ink cap with just water. I use the 25, 6, and 3 the most and they all stay in the skin when it heals.
