Reworking previous attempt at black packing

Yo, first post here.
Today I was packing black on a small wolf and it ended up looking patchy, scratchy, and all around bad (this was my first attempt packing color on my own skin).
I want to go over the spots I missed, but I don’t want to damage my skin. How long should I wait before reworking the tattoo to get a solid black, without hurting my skin?

Without being able to see how it looks, I would say wait until it heals or even longer if possible, then you can properly see if it's been scarred or other issues....if doing it too soon would definately result in damage to your skin from overworking it, definately need to wait for it to heal.

1 month minimum, like Pete said to see if you got scars or not.
