Can anyone shed some light on this? So I bought some 9rl and some 9rl bug pin but the bug pins are bigger than the normal. There both 12s?? Am I being stupid?
yeah i don't think in this case the 'b' stands for bugpin, i think the 't' is for textured, which will make them fatter cos they haven't been polished.
Bugpins are tiny needles 08's and are meant to be fantastic for smoooth grey shading blends, but are a pain to match to tubes. 12's are your standard size needles. Textured are any needle that has not been polished, they are meant to hold more ink on their surface and thus deposit more in the skin.
yeah thats the theory, but i didn't get on with them as i found they flexed too much due to their tiny diameter and had headaches trying to match tubes to needles, like a 13cmb will probably fit in something like a 5 mag tube but sometimes they'd still have a ton of side slop.
