Ok guys quick question for you all. Could cheap needles cause shakey lines? Recently i went to see andy from utat2 for some basic training and we went though outlining. by the way strongly recommend going and seeing him. Andy set up my machine ect however he used one of his needles as i forgot to pack my needles. now my lines was 110% better with andys needles than with the cheap ones ive got. would this be the case?

Needles came with a set i got, not sure on make of the needles just in a white box.

look forward to hearing what other people think

Probably has more to do with the machine being properly tuned. That's my guess anyhow.

Thats what i thought at first but after andy set it up it was fine with his needles and then as soon as put in a cheap on its gone to pot lol

Done everything as he showed me to tune it, so i guess ill buy some named needles and see if it improves.

Just wondering what needles people are using and where there buying them from?

Look forward to hearing your responses

Cheap needles can cause scratchy Lines but not wobbly lines. Have you checked the tension on your needle? Are you using to right size tip?

And for needles the best I have used are from Tony Lynx @ tattoo rite, dodgy looking website but sweetest needs ever

Hi kinky thanks for your reply. Yes ive checked the tension and double checked the tip size is correct. Ive looked at the 2 needles side by side and to me the shaft looks thinner which is mainly what made me think its the needle. i need to get more needles anyways so ill give it a try with the new needles and update on the progress, if there is any that is.
