dunno if this is a daft one or if its commonly known and i,m just bein a halfwit , everything i have read, or looked at has always told me that the open end of the loop in the needle bar goes to the left, as i know that the needle grouping has to be in the bottom of the tube, i just presumed that if it was left, the needles are correct, however ,,,, i watched a vid on youtube earlier, by Kage Yachas, and he said there not always correct? so decided to don the gloves and empty my sharps box out of curiosity,, true enough,, the pile on the left are all soldered correctly, the right hand side are soldered opposite,, I had no idea,, thisll teach me to check every needle properly i suppose,,thing is,, i always check the needles with an eye loupe, but never thought to check the soldering,, bet you all knew this and i,m being daft eh? lol,, ah wellneedle.jpgNeedle 1.jpgNeedle 2.jpgNeedle 3.jpg

For this reason I always go by the soldering and ignore the eye loop tbh - is a good heads up for others confirming it can be an issue.

i've always been weary since watching kages videos about the loop i never really pay attention to it i just go by looking at the soldering of the needles making sure the flat side is flush to the back of the tube/tip :)

I've never paid attention to the loop since it's irrelevant. One of those things I always wondered how it got started. A tidbit of misleading information that has done nothing but mess people up.

I use precision needles. all their mags are loop to the right, all rounds are loop to the left. but i'm like everyone else. once my grommit is on i can't see the loop anyway so just go off the solder :D

lol, Not sure where you guys get your needles? I have never run into this issue. Honestly it seems to be a lack of quality over quantity. Either way it's not an issue if you pay attention, I guess.

Same with needlesupplycompany.com. It seems that all mags are to the right and all liners are to the left. I just always put the needles on the bottom regardless of the loop.
