Hello i bought epson l320 and I want to ask can I use color ink instead stencil ink but use stencil ink in black tank and select grayscale for printing does it impact quality, I ask because I need deal with error of ink
I saw something similar on Youtube about this, I don't know what make or model printer it was, but they removed the colour ink tank and filled the black ink tank with stencil ink and set the printing properties to Greyscale printing....they then said that both colour and black ink tanks can filled and you don't need to change the printing properties, so I really don't know why you would only fill the black tank and have to change settings.
I know that with normal inkjet printing you need the colour tank to be installed even if you are printing greyscale, some of the lighter shades need the colour ink, so would assume that stencil printing would require both tanks to have stencil ink.
Personally I would experiment and fill the black tank with stencil ink, remove the colour tank and then do a test print in greyscale. if that doesnt work, fill the colour tank and replace it and print in greyscale, then reset settings to normal and try that. See what works. I don't think it will use much ink and only 3 pieces of paper but at least you will know.
Also can you advise me what paper i shoud use for printing in stencil and what paper type I should set ? I want to print on A4 paper size but what kind of paper is best to print ?
I don't use an Eco printer, but I have seen Youtube videos about them....they remove the top off the ink tanks and pour out the existing ink and then wash out residual ink from the tank and filter pad then refill with stencil ink....you will lose the original ink, but that's an expense you will have to bear .......search on the internet (youtube) for videos
I was try to print out colors and now put stencil ink and set on glosy with color and high quality but I get printed without shadows i Upload it for you
And I tried print with black ink only in mate paper with high quality, and get image printed with shadows:
So maybe best way to print is to use only black ink ?
It doesn't make any difference ....the stencil will print out exactly how it looks on the reference pic....if the reference pic has shading or shadows, your stencil will have shading or shadows....what I do if i want a line drawing is to trace the picture I want to tattoo, using dotted lines to show where the shading is to go....
Even with inkjet printing, you can't remove shading from the picture just by printing in black or greyshade mode.....the stencils you have printed in this post are ok to use to tattoo, although I usually only use a line drawing for the stencil because the solid purples in shaded stencils can get a bit messy.
Problem with color is that is without shadows but the same image with black have shadows, problem is that color printing no makes shadows so I guess best way to print is using black tank. Last one picture I was uploaded is printed from black tank in grayscale with mate paper mode
I'm not really understanding what you are asking here....have you got 2 ink tanks in your printer, 1 black and 1 colour with both tanks filled with stencil ink ? And when printing stencils they come out different depending if printing in colour mode or black mode ?
I would not think that the type of paper would make a difference to the print, if printing stencils, use Pacon tracing paper, it comes in reams of 500 sheets.
May be an idea to print out the same stencil in both colour and greyshade modes to let us see the difference between the two
Yes i am using stencil in black and in color tank and I am using Pacon tracing paper and already post images with grayscale print and color, all images is in color just last one with horse is printed in grayscale
