Hi guys what's the best home made stencil recipe where the stencil stays on for a good few wipes as I am fed up of all the pre made stuff that you apply and let dry and the slightest wipe and the stencil comes off.

I either use dettol neat or diluted. Or my wash down green soap and dettol spray it wipe wait a sec apply stencil and dab a damp sheet of kitchen roll over it pat it down peel it let it dry out and then start or just by stencil stuff

Stencil stuff is very good but you do need to let it dry for at least 15mins, I think this goes for any make, so long as it is dry then there shouldn't be any problem. A bottle of Stencil stuff is about *£16 - *£18 and will last for several hundred tattoos so it works out very cheap.

I used Dettol when I first started, then I got some samples of stencil stuff and was very impressed so I got myself a bottle. :icon_cheesygrin:

When I very first started a good few years ago I used detol and other stuff but imo it is not good, I used to have some good stencil liquid but the place I used to get it from do not do it anymore as it has been taken over (Under new management) I have been using some other stuff called Stencil Fluid from New Image| Tattoo Equipment, Tattoo Supplies, Tattoo Machines, Tattoo Accessories but no matter how long you leave it a wipe and the stencil has gone.

I think this is where I am going wrong then as mine smudge real bad and I end up free handing a lot or at least the more detailed parts :icon_confused:
