So, I emailed the recipient of this tattoo my previous design, and he wasn't keen on the original eagle. He'll be by after while for an art consult. I put together another design that I hope he likes. I did use the computer to put this together by scanning my pen drawings, overlapping and sizing each element, cropping a flag photo, and I ended up stealing the head off another eagle design that is on a t-shirt. I couldn't get it just right, so yes, I shamelessly stole the head. Opinions welcome.

compared to the last design you wanted rated I would say you hit it spot on with this on!! looks cool! and imo "stealing" a part from another design isn't a bad thing as long as you use it as a base platform and make the end product u're own! we all draw based on figures and ideas that we have seen before.... creating a new idea is essentially an existing one modified :icon_cheesygrin:

I like it.

Be sure that when you two get together you don't just let him say, "no" or "I don't like that." Make sure he gives direction and input...so many folks want us to spend all our time guessing and it's tedious and makes the art not so much fun.

True! I have a cache of abandoned designs, lol. I kinda expect to draw something a few times, though, and it's not all bad. Frustrating, but good practice.

I'll draw something 20 times if I get good input each time. I don't mind that a bit. That cover up I did was the 15th or so revision...but it got it where she wanted it. Every time she had wonderful input.

I get folks that ask me to draw something, I show it, and they say "no". And nothing else...I stop drawing after that. :)

Well, he's stoked. Said it is exactly what he was talking about. Gonna make it permanent Sunday morning. I'll post it up when it's done.

Well damn.. I just replied to your other post.. Yes this one is far better than the other. I'd wear that eagle. :) Still not feeling the shape of the flag framing tho..:icon_sad:
