Hello!
Bit of a dillema.
I want to get another pen tattoo machine. Something light, narrow grip, for small intricate designs (1rl/3rl tight). What stroke is the best to use in that kind of designs? Would standard 3,2-3,5 be OK? Or is it too much for single needle tattoos?
The one I've got can be set up from 2,6 to 4mm, but it's too heavy and uncomfortable for tiny designs.
Can anyone who does 1-3rl designs could put me into right direction please :)

Thank you!

Axys Valhalla, variable stroke from (I think) 2.5 - 4.2, I do have one but not in my hand.

It’s super light and can be delicate, is excellent for liners up to 9rl and I do actually use it for delicate lining…I don’t go smaller than 3rl with any machine. It’s also great for smooth shading with the lower stroke settings and a fast action.

3.5 stroke is ample for small liners though depending on the skin type/body part etc, you could probably go lower with smaller groups. The key is to have enough force and speed to penetrate the skin without applying much (if any) pressure, the machine should do the work, and for that you need a good stretch.
