I'm just starting in the tattoo and I would like to know your thoughts on whether buying a CNC q3 /q5, mast tour pro, or Dagger V2 as my first tattoo machine, really looking for a pen machine, at the moment is just for fun and hobby but looking to take it more serious through the year.

You can't go wrong with any of these machines, they're all decent for what you want. A matter of personal taste and what you want to spend.
Ah, and of course, welcome to the forum.

Mast Tour Pro if you're going the rotary route. If you want to learn the "right" way, learn coils first.

I don’t know about the other machines you mention, but I have a CNC Q2. A lot of people has it, several on here too. I like it, however it’s a direct drive and they are known to be making blow outs easily, which is very true. Even I who are very light handed easily get blowouts with them if I’m not cautious. That’s the con. The pro is it’s very easy to tattoo with. Lining is easy. As easy as lining can be 😅

I wonder why that's the case?

My first machine was a storm v2 adjustable and regular version machine but friction doesn't do retail anymore. Ambition Soldier Rotary Battery Pen Tattoo Cartridge Machine with 1950mAh Wireless Power Japan Coreless Motor Digital LED Display Tattoo Equipment Supply for Professionals and Beginners Tattoo Artists Amazon.com: Ambition Soldier Rotary Battery Pen Tattoo Cartridge Machine with 1950mAh Wireless Power Japan Coreless Motor Digital LED Display Tattoo Equipment Supply for Professionals and Beginners Tattoo Artists : Beauty & Personal Care
I've used this one there's an apprentice with one and an artist who just uses that he's had for a while now 6+ months and the owner had it before him.

If you're currently just doing it for a hobby, go the dragon hawk. it's a decent all-rounder did put a liner in it above a 7RL otherwise it gets difficult to pump out clean lines.

If you find that tattooing is something you want to do long term later on down the track then you can get more premium setup like a inkjecta machine for example.
