Sounds like either blew out the dots or actually went to deep and actually bruised the scalp which is very easy to do. Hope this helps but I'd take it back to him and find out what exactly is going on plus a picture would be a big help.

Ok so the bruising is still a slight possibility but I think that I am seeing its still has the stencil and or Mark's from a surgical marker that hasn't completely been washed away. The stencil stuff I use at times takes at least two weeks to going away but again I would take it to the artist and see if maybe he can get a closer look than I

It doesn’t look bad to me. If I zoom in closely to the dots they do look brown, some are quite dark brown.

Could it be a bit of an illusion due to the red appearance of arteries and blue veins in the skin, now having dots of colour laid over the top?

I don’t know it’s just a theory. I’m also a bald man and looked into this procedure once. I think it will heal a bit lighter but like others say, I’d go back to the person that performed this procedure. It may be a common question they get.

It's funny cause 2 of my buddies and I are actually getting into this. building is set, equipment is purchased..etc. etc. This is not a tattoo in the sense of what we think of as a tattoo. The machines are different, the needles are different, the ink is different. This is "micropigmentation" so the needles are much thinner compared to traditional tattoo needles, the machines are set in a way that they dont allow you to go too deep, and you aren't even going as deep as a traditional tattoo. You don't use traditional pigment either. It's a whole different process compared to traditional tattooing. Usually done in 2 sessions so you can build up a more natural look.....
