First portrait on someone .
Over two days . First day 6 hours then the day after 3 . With lots of breaks .

the guy I was doing it on started to complain and make a noise even before I had put needle to skin . Then spent the rest of the 6 hours moaning and twitching . Really over the top .
Then came questions and conversation , constantly interrupting me showing me his phone asking me random questions being really anoying .
I told him I’m trying to consentrate so if I’m not talking at points I’m consentrating , kept on with the random questions .
found it really stressful , like he wasn’t working with me .

I learned a lot , main thing , if there moaning , don’t try and speed up , cut shorter the pendulum shading !
got to carry on doing it .

overall I’m kind of happy with it .

Could have been better .
Still need to go back and smooth shade when it’s healed .

used CNC Q2 and .30 9 cm .30 17cm .305rs .35 3 rl

I learned a lot , he’s super happy with it .

what do you guys think for first portrate on someone ?
Any feedback would be great .
I know the shading could be smoother at places . When it’s healed I can go back in and work it up . The face still needs 1 drop shading for most of it . And lips need shading up .

If he was complaining as much as you say, good luck getting him back for touching up. As a first on skin, it looks pretty good to me other than what you have already said about smoothing out some of the shading.
I know what you mean about clients not working with you...my main hate is when you're tattooing someone and they continue to try and show you photos of tattoo designs and want a quote, or they start telling you a list of their next 10 tattoos and what do I think of what they are wanting, I don't care what they want, I will give advice on where a certain design will look good compared to another spot, but I can't be quoting on tattoos while I'm working.

Yep , lots of Tatto questions and trying to show me designs. It was a long session . In my head I was like Shut the Fxxk up ! But obviously kept it cool.
He just didn’t realise , even with me telling him , I’m trying to consentrate I’m being quiet because I’m concentrating.
And rushing , cutting short pendulum shading because he was moaning , moving . Just got to carry on in future .
Was a learning experience
