The reaper looks pretty good, not sure on the text, because….

The skin is pretty raised suggesting you are going too deep (can’t see obvious blowouts) or moving too slow across the skin or just overworking.

The top line on the scythe blade also looks like you’ve sliced the surface, maybe the same issue. You can slice skin by running your machine too fast for your hand speed and/or making multiple passes on lines.

For second pass lines you shouldn’t be aiming for the standard depth of a first pass, instead try and just tickle the ink in at the top of the skin surface, much shallower. If you haven’t got a line in 2 passes, 1 regular and 1 light (your goal has to be 1 pass), leave it to heal and come back to it.

If you are intentionally sculpting lines, build it up in shallow passes to avoid skin damage.

Anyway, not bad at all and keep up the good progress.
