Hello guys,

So after a year of tattooing on all sorts of fake skins, and also Reel Skin, I started my apprenticeship in a professional studio (Melon-Tattoo | Tattoo und Piercing-Studio) and I got to do my first ever tattoo on a human.

I can say that I was shocked with how smooth and accurate the needle and ink works with the skin, and I am looking forward to do as much work as possible.
I know there are a lot of things I need to work on and improve, and having a year of work on Reel Skin did help a bit, but nothing can be compared to the real human skin.

Constructive criticism will be highly appreciated!
Thank you!

That's awesome for your first. The year of practice really shows through. The main things I see are down to the difference between flesh and fake skin - the stretch! Mind your stretching direction. Always stretch parallel to your line (I struggle with it too). If you're perpendicular on your stretch, the straight line you pulled will end up as a wiggle.

You are right!
It was at first shocking on how the human skin was reacting and I had to tone down the way I handle it, because the fake skin is not even comparable.
But I am looking forward to do more work and improve myself!

My bad stretch wiggles normally show up on curves, which is the first place I really noticed it on yours too. "hey, I can't stretch in a circle here!" :ROFLMAO:

yea human skin is so different from realskin and other fake skins .

I have done a year On realskin , good to go back to practice on if it wrapped around something .

but human skin is another thing all together .

good job mate , keep it up 👍🏻

I believe that a year was more than enough to practice on fake skin. I had picked up some bad habits from it, that I need to unlearn now, like handling it too rough, with the needles and cleaning process.

You did a really good job for the first time. Congratz.

I think, there is a huge difference between fake leather and real human skin. So make sure to work on real skin as much as possible.

Hello,

Thank you for the comment.
Yes you are right, the difference is huge. I think actually worked too much on fake skin, and need to "unlearn" some of the stuff I used to do.
But from March of 2022 I`m only working on human skin, in a Tattoo Shop :D
