In an effort to analog my digital art for a clean portfolio and improve my line work I filled up an 11 X 14 sheet with the flash I created in Procreate using a fountain pen. I used a fine point for dot/line work and a thicker width for larger fills. Im kind of in love with dot work using this method so will be turning out more!

Looks super clean! You sure thats not printed?? jk

Would love to have a proper fountain pen, but all the nibs they sell here are super fine.

I got all mine through Amazon. The super fine one still has some decent weight and allowed me to work on building lines like I would in a solid traditional piece. Plus dot work shading is SO smooth with it. Give it a shot!
And thank you for the compliment!

awesome work. what kind of paper do you use? I've been wanting to get an ink dip pen.

For this I used a mixed media paper (wanted something with a little tooth so I have to work for my lines) by Canson. Found some great fine point nibs for like $5 on Amazon and the basic Speedball kit. It's a fun way to line man!

for cheap practice work, HP 32 lb professional is awesome. It will take ink well.
Anything heavy weight will do though. For lining work using a broad tip, I'd go for watercolor, marker, or bristol.
If you're getting into fine point lettering, you'll want to watch the tooth of the paper. I use a lot of card stock pretty well too.

In terms of tattooable art, these are my favorite by you. Simple enough that you can go realistic or color em or just stipple.

I dig em.
