Hi there,

I'm tattooing for about 4 Years in Germany - now struggeling with a quite simple question:

how do I get a stencil for a "Black Armband Tattoo" on the arm? Because of it's conical structure the stencil at the end won't be straight. Are there any tricks? or "How to do's"?

Thank you very much!!!!

i don't see your problem really, as long as the stencil is cut with strait edges and is the right length and width it should be ok, if you imagine an armband made of silver or any other material it is just a circle, the biggest problem i have had with tattooing armbands is getting the ends to meet so now i just make the stencil a little bit to small and then just draw the last bit in and it works a treat and thats the part that is always on the inside of the arm so very rarely seen.rarely, unless it is something that is an unusual shape, in that case it would be best to send in a photo so we can see what you are up against.

Why not loop a piece of string around your or there arm and out line with a biro or similar

I agree with Daryl, although a piece of sticky tape to follow will hold in place while you offer your stencil, and not rub off when your preparing with the stencil fluid. ;)
