Hello everyone, I am quite new to learning how to tattoo, I found this forum and noticed that I live very close to kirkintilloch and thought I would be able to get some advice from here, I have been practicing for 3months roughly and been using fake skin witch I find to be complete crap apart from it helps your line work, I have been able to tattoo on pig skin only once and found it to be so much better, I have tried my local butcher and also surrounding ones aswell but for the life of me can't find it anywhere, so can anyone help to where I can get pig skin or something better than fake skin or my own skin as I want to practice a lot more first before I touch my self, and prospect limbs are just too expensive, a y help would be grateful.

The pigskin in Morrissons is in the fresh meat fridges and sold for crackling, it is on trays and rolled up, easy to miss.

The skin that Patch72 is speaking of is available here http://www.reelskin.co.uk/ I have some but not tried it yet.

Hi folks, there isn't a Morrison's near me but I have family in Falkirk that can go to the Morrison's there for me, do you know what the crackling is packaged as? Like brand name or what the package looks like? The help is much appreciated.

Iv just been to morrisons and bought some pig feet, they didn't have the crackling. Iv just been testing out my new machine. It was my first time on pig skin how realistic is it? The lines seemed to go in way to easily.

Way too easily? You mean you did amazing linework that was near on perfect?!
Im only joking mate, those pig feet are in my opinion, the very closest thing you will get to human skin - nice one on getting some to try.

Got any pics of them to post? I need to do a tattoo on one - something pig related and funny!

Nice one on going premium mate

Well I got my first rotary the hummingbird not used them before so I done some practise skin and a melon, all was going perfect then I designed I small swallow tried to do it on my leg and the lines were really weak! This was only yesterday, so I thought I'd try with pig skin and the lines went in extremely well, just curious if iv tweaked the machine to work better or if pig skin is like fruit and it doesn't matter how it's set up it will be a nice solid line every time?
