The other day I was tattooing myself and I have some tattoo fillers. A few hearts and a few roses. They were just outlines. So I decided to fill the hearts in. I reach for my eternal red but decided what the heck. Let's try the intenze cherry bomb red that night I noticed all the little things I filled in with the intenze cherry bomb was all blistered I know I didn't dig too deep. And the crazy thing I was curious so I popped one and red ink came out of it. No it wasn't blood. I have never ever seen that happen before. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? The ink is still got a good date on it. Funny thing is I have used the ink before and nothing happened just normal.

Red is a strange colour. The metals in it cause a lot of people react to it. I cant use intenze reds on myself anymore as they cause me pain for weeks. Eternal is better for me & doesnt hurt but takes weeks to fully heal & gets really dry.
Iv never heard of blistering though, worth keeping an eye on & maybe a visit to the docs.
I assume the ink is real & not bought from ebay?

I've used Intenze red on me, no problem...then the SAME red on someone and their skin spent 3 months pushing it out. The body is a weird thing and reds tend to be colors that people get reactions from.

Have you changed your solution you wash your tip/needle out with?

The ink is not from ebay and. Have not changed anything still using the same solution to rinse with. I will surely never use it again
Also after searching on google. I find that some people have the problems with the red ink.

Yes I have. I did actually 2 tattoos on the same person with this. The other two tattoos I did on myself and they aren't big. When they healed I thought damn I need to go over them again and I did a few times and same thing happened. In some spots it's almost as if I put no ink in at all. They just didn't blister.

Yeah think I will use it on my pig skin. Also I found out and even though they are an authorized distributor monster steel is selling fake ink. When I called the company (for intenze)they told me to take a black light to the ink to see if it reacted. It did. So did some of the kuro sumi ink I bought from them. Stay away from monster steel
