What should I say when I visit a tattoo studio to show them my portfolio for an apprenticeship?

I know it’s kind of a silly question, but what are things I should definitely ask/say, and maybe things I should avoid saying in regards to getting an apprenticeship there?

- Ask them to help out around the shop, tell them you're willing to work for it and you are willing to be there everyday if that is what they require of you.

- Show them you are motivated, ask questions, don't interrupt answers. Listen to everything they say.

- If they say no, ask them why and what you could do to improve your chances in the future.

What Kyle said + look confident, be precise, be open on your challenges (never speak in term of flaws but on progressions, steps, etc...)

This part for sure.
Artists have their own flaws.
They want to see that you're working to make them not flaws but stepping stones to making everything else that much better.
