Anyone in here use the new Spektra Flux by FK Irons? Looking to buy this machine but wanted to hear from some people who've already used it first? What are your experiences with this machine?

Yea you're right about the give knob, I dont think it has that, but then again, I dont think I would use it much, all my machines up till now have been rotarys without that option anyway. Idk, it's a hard decision. I was also think about just getting the xion and order the battery packs with it.

I got this a few months back ,$200 usd ,it has a3.5 stroke and the battery last 6-8 hour depending on volts your using ,so you could buy 6 of theses for the same price as a flux A7CE04EC-8457-4896-9820-88F33D39AD65.jpeg

My buddy has the flux, he is a professional artist, works in a shop, ect ect. He loves it. He finished my back piece with it. Solid machine, but pricey!

I pulled the trigger and ordered it.... did my first tattoo with it (5 hrs) and didnt even use 60% of the battery life. Got am extra battery just in case. But the power and smoothness of this machine is UNREAAAAL! Def a great investment!!

Depends of the work you are into. For traditional work it's kind of suck and the software isn't ready yet so if you update the firmware on the machine the battery and power doesn't work the same

I had to send it back to fk bec the update didn’t work ,I think that’s why it’s so expensive, because they added the return postage into the price

Hello, I own spectra flux with 2 powerbolts, and both of them recently stopped working. I was charging the battery, and when i unplugged it from the charger light blue light appeared and it stayed forever. The battery does not work, hard reset does not help. One of the batteries is already at fk irons but for now no answer. Did anyone had the same issue ? Is there any way to repair it by myself ?

Currently using a cheap Mast Tour.... decent but nothing special.
Just a suggestion for economy….get the best machine you can afford but shop around for power. I’m running an Axys Valhalla, Stigma Hyper (3) for give, and have a xion arriving tomorrow (Used £255 GBP)…and I use 2 mast battery packs that give me really smooth power for around 4-5 hours each…2 fully charged comfortably lasts a full day. The 2 mast batteries are (I believe) 20% the cost of 2 FK Irons Xion batteries.

( I missed the post that said you ordered already 🤦)

Yes I had problems with my flux batteries too and they wouldn’t update so I told fk and they sent me a UPS shipping label ,this was back in September,UPS managed to loose the parcel the very next day ,but I didn’t find that out for a month ,so I contacted FK and they said they would look into it for me ,a month later and 5-6 unanswered emails later I find out the lady look after my case had left fk and didn’t tell anyone about me , but the new guy in charge sent me a replacement which I received yesterday, so long story short no you can’t fix it yourself but if you contact fk service department they will pay for the return shipping so you can get your batteries fixed

Hello everybody I'm here to help you all, I'm not a tattoo artist but as an engineer I used to design and test some RTM (Rotatory Tattoo Machines) brands and there is a lot of opportuniies to improve both their design as their quality. In the case of the FK Irons Powerbolts, that blue light is caused by a defect in one of the electronic microchips. If FK Irons's Customer Service doesn't answer I'd suggest you call directly their General Manager - Jason Mailoux - @ 678-427-2178

I have a Spektra Xion. What do you want to know? It runs smooth, it has a really easy time with most liners up to a 7, anything over that, you kinds gotta slow down and sculpt your lines a little more. It shades smooth as shit, it runs smoother than my Axys Valhalla did. I wanted more power so I went to a Workhorse Iron Mike Pike and a custom John Clark rotary. Both very powerful machines, but for smaller pieces, hand work, delicate stuff, my Xion works great!

My 10-week old Xion is packed and ready for return after the push rod started rattling then stopped dead. Motor bolt still spins the cam but essentially it’s dead as a functioning machine. Yeah…shaded well when it was working but this kind of breakdown from a ‘premium’ brand machine is a joke.

I still have my Valhalla but lining daily with a £40 bishop wand clone that’s basically pissing over both my big-name machines.

For the money that you pay for any FKIron machine you should get a product very reliable and high quality but the people familiar with their operations knows they use the most cheap parts plus their designs have a fundamental flaw: the stroke-cam mechanism overpowers the motors resulting their bearings fails prematurely frequently.
