Hi everybody!
I was trying to find a thread about this topic but I couldn't find anything related, at least not applied to Ireland.
I was part time apprentice in a tattoo studio and now they would like me to be a full time residen artist. They were explaining to me how the self-employment works and the steps I will need to follow to become sole trader in Ireland.
However, I have a few doubts about the payments and the taxes. I have no problem to tax the payments I will receive from the tattoos, but I'm not so sure how to deal with the payments I will do to the studio. I won't have any kind of contract, I will just pay them a percentage of the tattoo price. How can I tax and show this to the Revenue?
Also, it's a 40%-60% a good rate to get enough benefits? I'm fairly new into the tattoo studio sector and I would like to know if this is the most common payment rate for studios in Ireland.
If there anyone who can give me some advice or clarify this for me? Thank you so much!
