Sooooo… I’m now a PMUA (so get skin, cross contamination, ink, needles etc) working in a tattoo studio. The owner isn’t looking to apprentice someone but two of the artists working there (not including the owner) are self taught.
He’s cool with me learning my own way, plus I have the other artists to bounce off ideas etc.
I also have the possibility of 1/2 days a week apprenticing in a studio in London.
If the London gig doesn’t come off (2 hour train ride/hours drive each way from Portsmouth) I’m looking into online courses.
Obvs tattooing 101 is the first that springs to mind… plus there’s a few more that I am looking into.
anyone done an online course?
