Hello all,
Just a little bit of research really.
Since Google has changed the way they spider our websites and #rank us, we have gone from top on most search terms relating to learning how to tattoo, to alot further down the rankings. If you remember a month or so ago, we had a mad influx of spammers every day, so banning gmail email halted it instantly. Now i am wondering whether Google has taken offence to that.

My question is this:
How did you find us?

I am going to make adjustments again, and see if anything changes with our rankings.

Thanks for your help. xx (y)

I was searching Japanese traditional tattoos when I came across this site. I had never even thought tattooing would be somethging I wold like to do until I read the posts on this site.

I should take it as a good sign when google shows me something I didn't ask for.

When I was 19 I found the Spartan Health Regime when I was searching for some kickboxing stuff. I got it and lost 4 stone.

In 2005 I was searching for kickboxing techniques and came across Rawai Muay Thai in Thailand. I decided I would go for a few months and it was the best thing I have done with my life.

Thank you google for being so crap lol

I dont think you need a credit card if you use Paypal. It can come straight from the bank.

I found the site when i was looking for tattoo ink reviews via Google.

I found this site via a link on the UTAT2 website, I had done a training course in tattooing with them 4 years ago and have just opened my own studio so was looking for others who are new to the industry to chat to and hopefully some with more experience to get advice from.

Just found this site after an evening of frustration while tattooing my thigh. Im a complete noob at the techniques but earlier this week i decided to Take the step from drawing and studying tattoos to actually try on myself. And wow... lol.. I learned a lot though but decided to research more about the learning process. One thing is theory another is doing. I found i know too much about higher level stuf, which i will need to build a base to understand. Seems like a really nice forum though, and now ill indulge in binge reading. :) cheers from Denmark. Anders

Searched "9 liner for thick lines?" btw.. :)

I can't remember exactly what I Googled but I think it was something like "How to tattoo solid colour" or something to that effect.

I love that this came back up after six years...didn't realize I'd been here this long. I still learn things...and after six years I'm only now at a point where I feel like I'm putting out quality work more consistently. It's a marathon kids...especially when you are living a full life outside of your tattoo studies.

searched 'home tattooing' and found it. and yes, banning the gmail will also lower the bot rating on google. (y)

I think I've been here 4y already  First with another account which I lost my password for so I started this one instead. @TexasPT was one of the oldies :ROFLMAO: I was even a little afraid to comment on his postings :ROFLMAO: How wrong I was (y) Not about oldie though ;)

I remember ads for the site came up all the time when searching tattoo info on Google - I never had tried tattooing, didn't even have a machine or anything. It was just an idea that suddenly had come to my mind. I already had a masters degree in fine arts though.

All blinking ads about "help me tattoo forum" were so annoying so i finally clicked on one to see what it was. Totally stuck 4y later. Best thing I ever did!

I bought my stuff from someone that had zero artistic skills but thought she could master tattooing in a week or so. Did not work out like that and she sold literally everything: from massage bed, saddle stool and thermal copier, to the cheyenne thunder set and everything in between. Anyway... since I bought it and also did not know how to get started, this was the only place with free non-member info and active users that replied to n00b questions without being dicks. So yeah, there you have it :)

I was a member of another site but it was full of people who just insulted each other without really offering any constructive feedback, when i searched for an alternative i found this site and never looked back

I came across a number of other places that were toxic and hostile, especially towards beginners. I think i literally typed into google 'help with learning to tattoo' or something and this site popped up (a fair bit down in the results if i remember), had a quick look around and everyone seems to be so nice, helpful and friendly I signed up for my wife (she is the one who is going to learn), where hopefully will not be too annoying with the typical questions if we cannot find answers via searching.

I searched google for something and the same question had been asked on this forum, then read the answers to more of my questions and went premium. I am not at a point of giving advice but it nice to get feedback and be involved.

if i remember correctly - i was researching flash/art & the rabbit hole brought me here.

Mush - you may not be able to give good or "correct" advice on a tattoo yet... but you're an artist (I assume) & you can always add artistic input or insight on other things you do know about (sanitation/sterilization? running a biz? marketing?). & when you do comment & it's "wrong" that's fine too.... it's ok to be "wrong"... as it allows others to correct the mistake & opens discussion as to why it could be wrong. it actually allows discussion & debate that takes a subject to it's foundation. when someone understands the "why" instead of just knowing the answer - then they can think critically & apply that knowledge to other "things".

basically, don't be scared to put your 2 cents out there - someone could learn something (even if it's you).

If I remember correctly, I was searching google for answers on which machine speed to use, I may have used forum as one of the search words, since I'm more a fan of forums then youtube. Anyway before my first post I payed for premium, faster than I do my tattoo's :ROFLMAO:
