Spektra Xion or halo2

Hi guys and girls. My first post. i’m looking for a rotary machine with ”give” and it stands between spektra xion or Halo2 crossover. I would like to know wich one is best.if u owning one of those i would like to know everything about them Im using RW I.D liner and slim line right now. Great machines. Cheers

the xion is a great machine,it has give and you can change the stoke bearings,Iv no tried the halo 2 though

can recommend xion as well you have to het use to a bit but i guess that's normal but really would like to hear some first hand opinion about halo too

Halo2 is great for shading , not so much for lining. I used to have it. Jerry7297 has both so he can compare.

såg att du är svensk. Jag är lärling just nu och enligt min mentor och alla andra så ska jag börja med coils elr en rotary som har ”give” effekt för att inte förstöra hud för mkt. En maskin som är mer förlåtande helt enkelt. Mina rotary works maskiner är bra maskiner men inte för en lärling :/

Aha okej, coils kan jag ingenting om, så där kan jag inte hjälpa dig. I mitt tycke är coils gammalmodigt, man måste lära sig att justera dem och det verkar vara ett evigt pyssel även för den som är bra på det. Många tatuerare tjatar om att man ska lära sig dem först för att lära sig tatuering från grunden.

Halo2 är fantastisk att skugga med, men jag antar att du isf letar efter nån slags allround maskin. Och den give som är enkel att justera. Xion är ju nyare, och många verkar fantastiskt nöjda med den. Jerry som jag frågar efter längre upp är fkirons fantast och har flera av deras maskiner. Bla Halo2 och Xion.

Jag har haft flera maskiner (ca 10) och förutom den jag har nu (Inkmachines Scorpions Rotary) som inte passar dig alls i det här läget (ingen give, inte förlåtande, dyr) så älskade jag min förra, en Bishop Fantom. Den funkade bra för både linjer och skuggning. Bishop har flera bra modeller. MEN de har ingen give, av den anledningen att de har sk "organisk give" vilket om jag fattat rätt betyder att de tycker att man ska justera sitt sätt att använda maskinen, istf att maskinen ska justeras Vilket jag iofs håller med om, men jag förstår din mentor, han vill inte riskera kundernas hud så länge du är hyggligt ny (när du är mer van kommer du kunna ha vilken maskin du vill).

Maskiner är tyvärr lite djungel ? Man får nog räkna med några inköp innan man hittar rätt. Men det finns ingen perfekt maskin, det viktiga är ju egentligen att man kan lära sig att använda den maskin man har

Ett tips är att beg rotaries kan vara överoljade av förra ägaren (jättevanligt problem) och motorn därför skära lätt. Jag har aldrig köpt nån beg rotary av den anledningen.

Vet inte om det var till nån nytta allt det här! Jag gissar att om du ska vara på säkra sidan, så är nog Xion ett tryggt val.

Tu peux utiliser Google? Si tu es sérieux je pense que c'est pas grave si ça se passe un fois. Je le comprendrais si on parlait en des autres langues chaque fois.

Aha okay, coils I can do nothing about, so there I can not help you. In my opinion coils are old-fashioned, you have to learn how to adjust them and it seems to be an eternal piece of work even for those who are good at it. Many tattooers complain about learning them first though to learn tattooing from scratch.

Halo2 is great to shadow with, but I guess you are looking for some kind of all-round machine. And the give that is easy to adjust. Xion is newer, and many seem to be extremely pleased with it. Jerry I ask for further up is fkiron's fantastic and has several of their machines. Bla Halo2 and Xion.

I've had several machines (about 10) and besides the one I have now (Inkmachines Scorpions Rotary) that doesn't fit you at all in this mode (no give, no forgiveness, expensive), I loved my former one, a Bishop Fantom. It worked well for both lines and shading. Bishop has several good models. BUT they have no give, for the reason that they have so-called "organic give" which if I am right means that they think you should adjust your way of using the machine, instead of the machine being adjusted Which I iofs agree with, but I understand your mentor, he does not want to risk customers' skin as long as you are fairly new (when you are more used you will be able to have whatever machine you want).

Machines are unfortunately a bit jungle ? You must probably expect some purchases before you find the right one. But there is no perfect machine, the important thing is that you can learn how to use the machine you have

One tip is that pitch rotaries can be over oiled by the previous owner (huge problem) and the engine therefore cut easily. I have never bought any beg rotary for that reason.

Don't know if it was useful to anyone! I guess if you want to be on the safe side, then Xion is probably a safe choice.

Wow thats alot of responses already, I say the Xion. Its more powerful and easier to hold in your hand IMO. The Halo2 is good for soft shading but as a All arounder I feel Xion is much better. You dont have to deal with buying a good Cart grip and bagging the machine is much easier as well with the Xion. A EdgeX is closer to the Xion IMO if you can get a good deal on one. I have 2 of them and they are great as well.

Xion an awesome machine your be happy ,but this battery pen is very good for the money ,you can get it for as little as $200 usd

I totally forgot what the "give" was meant to reproduce on rotaries... Is it the possibility to change the taper lenght, or something else?

Because i'm quite interested in the Valhalla... Since this thread is not dying

give reproduces the flex (maybe not right word...less direct impact) when the needle hits the skin. On a coil the springs give it a shock absorber effect. On a direct drive it is straight in, straight out...no softening of the impact.

Hi jerry it’s a 50/50 mix of regu dynamic and Eternal triple black ,the Eternal was really thick so I diluted it with the dynamic ?done a bit more yesterday
