Whaasup everybody. I’m new new to tattooing. I’ve been drawing all my life, just got into this tattooing. A coworker gave me his “starter kit” so I filled like 2 fake skins and thought I was the bomb. I blasted my leg and realized I need a lot more practice with the machine. I just switched from the starter kit coil to pen style, which feels great. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and looking forward to advice, criticisms, and all that comes with being an artistic. Thanks

Humbling isn’t it?

I was watching some Andrew Stortz videos this week and in one he said ‘tattooing is the hardest things he’s ever learnt’. I’m a compulsive learner and I’ve said this myself many times. Any muppet can dig an inky needle into flesh and move it around, but seeing your work coming back healed with the black still black, the lines all solid and the same width, and the colour vibrant and solid….it’s a whole other level of commitment and toil. Thing I love is that there’s no short cuts…gotta put the hours on at the drawing table, fake skins and real people.

Nothing worth having is easy to attain.
