From a shading point of view, on half of your work the shading seems to be all over the place, i.e. if light shines on something there are areas that should be lit vs shaded and it should be consistent throughout the entire peice. Get that down and you'll be on another level.

You have a Scorpion x2 ?? How do you like it?? I have one too (I had the Scorpion first gen for about 3 years before that).

I really like it, but I have troubles shading with it. Shading's what I'm normally best at. My impression is it hits too hard, even though I really try to use sweeping motions I don't get a soft shading (I've always used solid black, maybe I have to start using washes 😏).

How do you find shading with it??

The Scorpion X2 feels great and its really thin. I love that about it. But indeed I did not feel as I have that much control of it when shading.
Last week I tried the Scorpion X2 and the InkJecta Flite for the first time (I have been tattooing for almost one year on human skin, with my ol` 99 euro Amazon CNC Tattoo Machine) and after working with both those machines, I would most def go for the InkJecta Flite.

At the end of this month I will be ordering a new machine, and I am also considering the Cheyenne Unio, for its versatility.
Do you have experience with Cheyenne machines?

Thanks,
John

One of the reasons I want to stick to my Scorpion x2 is that it's so much more safe hygienically than other pen models. I will have to adapt my shading to the machine 🙂

No, unfortunately I have no experience at all with the Cheyenne machines 😏

Oh well. I did it, i ordered the InkJecta Flight Nano Elite today, with the Cheyenne Sol Cartrige grip. 😁😁

Im still curious about the Cheyenne Unio, but i dont want to invest that much if i cant test it out first.

I'm sure you will be very happy with your InkJecta Nano Flight! The ones I know who've use/d it, love it 👍🏼

No reason to be rushed about the Cheyenne Unio, new machines keep coming and you can't try or purchase them all anyway 😊 My feeling is I have to close my eyes and not get to curious of all new machines, the cost would be massive in the long run 😏

Yes you are right, you can get lost in all the machine types that can be found online.
The new machine will be arriving tomorrow. Will post a review/feedback.

In the meantime, some new videos:

So i started to work with my new InkJecta Flite Nano machine. I still have to get used to it, as I am used to my old machine where I had to go deep to get decent and solid lining.
I can feel it is more sensitive and accurate and am looking forward to work with it. :D

Here are some of the recent Tattoos I did with it:

It's taking forever for your videos to show. Maybe this thread is becoming overloaded due to all videos you've posted here, I don't know 🤷🏼‍♀️ But it makes me not having the patience to wait 😏 Just thought I'd let you know.

This was my first attempt at Micro Realism. No lines, just working with the 3RL and the 5RL. It was interesting and for sure i want to work more in this style :D

Btw, only the Dice were done by me.

So i got my Cheyenne Unio machine and did my first Tattoo with it. First impression is that it is very sharp and accurate. But I still need to figure it out and use it some more.

Orca Tattoo where the entire shading was done with the staple technique.
