The EZ P3 Pro tattoo machine is a good option for new artists looking to get quality practice. It can push small liners and has a soft hit that is great for black and gray tattoos. However, we don’t recommend it for artists who want to do American Traditional or Neo Traditional tattoos that need thick lines.

EZ P3 Tattoo Machine - Our Review:
The EZ P3 Pro is a good starter machine for new artists looking to get some practice. It works well for thin lines and shading.
Adjustable Machine
This machine from EZ Tattoo Supply lets you easily adjust your stroke length; ranging from 2.0 to 4.2. This lets you take on a variety of styles, whether you need to layer soft shades or do linework.
You can also change the needle depth. This is important when learning to “float the needle” for better visibility while tattooing linework.Precision Motor
The heart of the EZ P3 Pro is its precision motor, providing consistent and smooth operation. However, while the motor runs quietly, it is not powerful enough to push thick liners. This makes it a good option for artists looking to specialize in black and gray, but it’s not ideal for artists who are interested in American Traditional or Neo Traditional.
Stable Voltage Output
The built-in power management system ensures a steady voltage output throughout the tattooing process. This stability minimizes the risk of inconsistencies or uneven lines, contributing to the machine's reputation for reliability.
User-Friendly Interface
The intuitive controls and straightforward setup of the EZ P3 make it accessible to artists who are new to the craft. The user-friendly interface minimizes the learning curve, making it easier to “plug and play.”
Who the EZ P3 Is (and Isn’t) For:
Tattoo machines are not one-size-fits-all, and the EZ P3 Pro is no exception.
Because of its low price, this machine is a great choice for new artists looking to save money. And because of it’s soft hit, it can be a good machine for black and gray artists to add to their arsenal.
However, since the motor power is limited to smaller needles, we don’t recommend it for professional tattoo artists.

Become a Tattoo Artist With the Artist Accelerator Program
Having a career in tattooing is not only fulfilling, but it’s also the most stable way to make a living as an artist. However, for decades, the process to become a successful tattoo artist has been notoriously difficult.
The apprenticeship process requires aspiring tattoo artists to work 50-60 hours a week without pay for 2-4 years. That, combined with the toxic culture of abusing apprentices, makes getting into the industry almost impossible for newcomers.
That’s why we created the Artist Accelerator Program. Our online course provides a simple, structured way of learning to tattoo that has been proven to work by over 2500 successful students, with many of them having gone on to open their own shops all around the world.
Inside the program, we’ll take you through every step of the tattooing process in 9 clear, easy-to-follow modules and support you along the way within the Tattooing 101 Mastermind online community.
In the Mastermind group, you’ll collaborate with other students, get answers to your questions, and receive personalized video feedback on your artwork and tattoos from professional tattoo artists. With this friendly community of both new and experienced tattoo artists, you’ll never be stuck again.
When you join the Artist Accelerator Program, you’ll have instant access to the full course and the Mastermind community, as well as our 30-Day Flash Challenge and recorded interviews with tattoo artists from all over the world.
